VonNYC: Hoops to Dreams Initiative.

Mission Statement: The NYC Youth Basketball & Education Initiative is dedicated to using basketball as a vehicle for mentorship, education, and personal development. Our goal is to create a citywide league that not only provides competitive opportunities for student-athletes but also fosters career pathways in sports management, media, health, and event production.

Program Objectives:

Establish a Citywide High School Basketball League

Form an "NYC NBA" where public high schools from each borough compete.

Secure venues such as Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center for key games.

Provide professional coaching clinics and mentorship programs.

Expand Career & Educational Opportunities

Engage students in fitness, sports medicine, media, marketing, and event management.

Offer internships and hands-on training in photography, live broadcasting, and team operations.

Create scholarship opportunities and pathways to higher education.

Support At-Risk Youth & Community Engagement

Include students from the juvenile justice system in mentorship and training programs.

Collaborate with community organizations and local businesses to create employment and volunteer opportunities.

Promote leadership and teamwork skills to prepare youth for future success.

Angela has been part of this community in New York City for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place for everyone who calls NYC home.

Angela is a proud immigrant of Filipino-Hispanic Asian descent who came to America & New York for a better life & inkind be of public service to a city & country who has given her so much.

Mr.J also known as Coach Roc is an experienced and devoted Violence Interrupter, youth Basketball coach, entrepreneur and National Certified Gang Specialist.
Raphael is experienced in developing and maintaining the necessary safe, orderly, and supportive environments to promote safety and academic achievement.

Hector R. Perdomo, President, Naismith International Basketball Foundation. the extraordinary journey of Hector Perdomo, from his
humble beginnings in Boston and Chelsea, Massachusetts, to becoming the President of the Naismith
International Basketball Foundation. The film explores how Hector's love for basketball and his relentless
mission to honor Dr. James Naismith's vision continue to inspire communities worldwide.
This project intertwines personal anecdotes, historical retrospectives, and basketball's transformative power as a vehicle for positive change. Key themes include:
