Standing Together: Independent Candidates Night – April 17, 2025
As an independent candidate for Queens Borough President, I’m proud to be part of the upcoming Independent Candidates Night on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 7:30 PM in Forest Hills. Organized by the Queens County Conservative Party and Daniel Maio, President of Central Queens, this event is a powerful gathering of voices who are stepping up to lead outside the traditional political lines.
Running under my committee, VonNYC: Innovating Our City, I know firsthand how vital platforms like this are. They allow us to break through the noise, speak directly to the people, and find solidarity with other candidates who are just as passionate about reshaping New York City from the ground up.
“I’m excited to connect with like-minded candidates and share my vision for a safer, more inclusive, and innovative Queens. Unity among independent voices is powerful, and I believe a joint effort could help strengthen voter trust and increase ballot access for all of us.”
A special thank you goes to Daniel Maio for not just organizing this event, but for consistently creating space for independent candidates to be seen, heard, and empowered. Your work in Central Queens uplifts so many of us, and your dedication to civic engagement is deeply appreciated.
Also, much love and gratitude to Jason Murillo, City Council Candidate for District 2. Working with Jason during his petitioning process was both humbling and inspiring. From ferry rides in freezing temps from Belle Harbor to the Lower East Side, to speaking with residents facing crime and hardship, I was honored to help him get on the ballot. These moments reminded me that one hand washes the other—and together, we’re building something greater than ourselves.
